This was a very enjoyable read! I really enjoyed the blend of useful gardening tips and information with recipes and discussion of life in Minnesota (which, as a fellow Minnesotan, I can attest to as both fun and accurate). The photographs throughout it are gorgeous, and the writing style is engaging and easy to follow. Reading it in the middle of March - with low temperatures, gray days, and frequent snow still persisting - made me long for spring and green plants all the more, but I really liked her sections on the winter months as well. You might not expect a book focused on the garden to express a real appreciation for winter in Minnesota, but she portrays it beautifully.Would definitely recommend the book to others.

This was a very enjoyable read!
